Job Description:  Are you interested in Payments- Android- Backend Services- Then come join the Amazon Digital Payments Team. In this role you'll lead a team that's continuously working to improve our digital payments experience. We- re looking for a strong leader with a proven track record of building highly functional teams that deliver products of high quality.  Responsibilities:   - Lead an engineering team that will build, operate and maintain software in order to meet business needs.  - Hire, coach, and mentor engineers on your team.  - Comfortable working on front-end (web and Android) and back-end systems.  - Can define and own all operational metrics and support for products developed.  - Collaborate with other leaders to develop long-term development and business technology strategies  Basic Qualifications:  - BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent and 10+ years- experience managing a high-performing technical team.  - Experience working on distributed systems, mobile platforms (Android/iOS/Windows), and Web server technologies.  - 3+ years- experience as a software engineer.  - 5+ years managing a software engineering team.  - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Preferred Qualifications:  - Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a highly iterative, agile, and open team environment.  - You work backwards from your customers to build the right products and pride yourself on delivering on-time.  - Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.  - A strong business and technical vision and the ability to translate these in business and technical approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.  - You regularly deliver scalable applications that get the job done with minimal complexity.  Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
