Role Overview:

As a Sr. Capacity Planning Manager within Verifications & Risk Management Operations, you will be responsible for developing and executing capacity plans to ensure optimal resource allocation and service delivery. You will collaborate with operations teams, product managers, and technology stakeholders to forecast demand, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Your insights will directly impact Amazon's ability to mitigate risk, maintain compliance, and deliver a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain accurate capacity models using statistical analysis, historical data, and business intelligence to forecast workload and resource requirements for Verifications & Risk Management Operations.

- Partner with operations leaders to translate business strategies and growth projections into actionable capacity plans that align with service level agreements and cost targets.

- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, handle times, and error rates to identify capacity constraints and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- Lead cross-functional projects to implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and technology enhancements that optimize capacity utilization and reduce operational costs.

- Communicate capacity plans, performance metrics, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing clear and concise insights to support decision-making.

- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of various business drivers and external factors on capacity requirements, enabling proactive risk mitigation.

- Drive process excellence by identifying and implementing best practices in capacity planning, forecasting, and resource management across Verifications & Risk Management Operations.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement capacity plans in a complex, high-volume operations environment, leveraging data analysis and statistical modeling techniques.

- Proven expertise in risk management principles and practices, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks related to capacity constraints.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from large datasets and translate them into actionable recommendations.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion within defined timelines and budgets.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proficiency in business intelligence tools and data visualization techniques, with the ability to create dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators and inform decision-making.

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Economics.

- 7-15 years of experience in capacity planning, workforce management, or operations analytics.
