Job Posting : Risk Manager - Enterprise Risk Management (Second Line)

Location - Bangalore, India (5 days a week, office-based)

About the Role:

Amazon is seeking a Risk Manager to join the Second Line Risk team supporting regulated propositions across the MEA region. This role is critical in strengthening Amazon's enterprise risk and compliance framework by driving risk assessments, escalation, and mitigation strategies across multiple risk disciplines.

You will partner closely with business, compliance, assurance, technology, and strategic planning teams to shape scalable risk management programs. The ideal candidate brings strong ERM fundamentals, excellent judgment, and the ability to translate complex risk data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own second-line risk management programs, including product risk, third-party risk, and business continuity & resiliency.

- Conduct risk-based assessments by identifying and leveraging relevant data sources.

- Own, maintain, and periodically update policies, procedures, and governance documentation.

- Develop clear, data-driven narratives to communicate risk posture, mitigations, and impact to senior leadership and governance forums.

- Perform operational deep dives into processes and systems to assess control design and effectiveness.

- Identify, track, and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

- Coach and guide non-risk stakeholders on risk management best practices.

- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

- Partner with Assurance, Compliance, Tech, and Strategic Planning teams to drive automation and improve risk culture.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Own risk management mechanisms and simplify complex data into meaningful business insights.

- Build and maintain metrics, dashboards, reports, and analyses to support decision-making.

- Break down complex regional initiatives into manageable, prioritized workstreams.

- Facilitate development of risk registers, risk appetite statements, KRIs, and governance mechanisms.

- Engage with diverse stakeholders and consolidate inputs into cohesive risk assessments and reports.

Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) experience in a large consulting firm or financial services multinational.

- Strong analytical skills with experience using data and metrics to assess and manage risk.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver complex initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years of ERM experience, preferably in a Big 4 consultancy or financial services multinational.

- Experience working in regulated environments.

- Exposure to regional or global risk programs.

- Strong documentation, governance, and reporting experience.
