- Amazon is looking for a motivated individual for the profile of Pricing Head for its Amazon Shipping / Ship with Amazon Program team. Amazon Shipping aims to develop easy-to-use, reliable and transparent transportation services that beat all existing shipping alternatives for our customers. In doing this, Amazon Shipping is building innovative, market-leading solutions that will organically attract customers towards our services. - To help us succeed in this large endeavor, we are looking for self-starting and entrepreneurial individual who will own, organize, execute and own the over-all Pricing strategy for Amazon Shipping in India. You will solve for balancing profitability and growth. You will also partner with a team of tech, product and data scientists to define our product requirements. "Amazon is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Women / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation / Age" In this role, you will: - Develop pricing strategy for Amazon shipping as the single threaded owner of pricing strategy - Benchmark various pricing frameworks with competition - Collaborate with Finance partners to develop pricing guard-rails in line with profitability goals - Continuously engage with the sales team to improve the conversion metrics - Develop various pricing models based on shipper segmentation - Engage with stakeholders and leadership at all levels to advocate the pricing strategy. - Work on price benchmarking and market research, do shipper studies and work with the sales team to understand the shipper requirements - Use customer and market feedback, competitive analysis and benchmarking, and business metrics to make informed decisions. - This role will require exceptional communication and influencing skills, and will work to influence stakeholders across Business, Operations, Sales and Tech teams. This role will require the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, startup environment, partnering with others as needed, and the ability to exercise sound judgment solving novel problems without clear direction from leadership. - The successful candidate has demonstrated the ability to solve complex challenges and possesses bias for action and deliver results in the role.
