About Role:  Have you ever thought about what it takes to detect and prevent fraudulent purchases among hundreds of millions of e-Commerce transactions in different countries- Amazon's Transaction Risk Management Services (TRMS) team is responsible for preventing fraudulent purchases across every Amazon product line. Fraud prevention is a real-money game where we strive to outsmart those who attempt to defraud Amazon and our customers.   The TRMS Financial Analyst will be a key player in providing financial guidance to business leaders on how to prevent this fraud. This person will be the Finance support for companywide bad debt, while working closely with the technical teams and investigation teams. Core financial responsibilities include controllership, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financial results. The role also includes a heavy business partnership with the Operations team, including business case support, strategic optimization of resources, financial prioritization, and investment decision analysis. The right individual should possess solid business judgment and be capable of driving the right results, including the ability to influence senior business leaders and to work cross-functionally with multiple finance and business teams. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. More specifically, this role will create and analyze financial data and reports providing key variance explanation mainly though analyzing large data sets to generate additional insights into opportunities and risks. It will be expected that the candidate can identify issues by diving deep and working with technical teams to pinpoint root causes, drive closure, and work solutions to make corrections required. There is a need for metrics to be developed to allow this business unit to more accurately measure the value received for the cost inputs.  Basic Qualifications:   - Bachelor's degree required in finance, business administration, accounting, or related field  - Must have 8 to 12 year of total work experience with minimum 6+ years relevant experience in Financial Analysis field  - Understanding of accounting concepts, investigating large data sets, and problem solving  - Strong financial modeling & analytical skills with superior attention to detail  - Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills  - Motivated self-starter that can work independently with limited supervision   - Advanced user of Excel   - Experience in deep dive analysis and has the desire to problem solve  Preferred Qualifications   - Experience with COGNOS and SQL  - Proven ability to influence and make an impact   - Desire to exceed expectations and drive positive change in the organization  - A fast learner who can quickly absorb the nuances and behaviors of Amazon's varied system architecture  - Ability to handle tight deadlines and conflicting priorities  - Comfortable working on shifts
