Business Analyst  Amazon's Selection Expansion team started operations in March 2009 and has grown steadily in scope ever since. This is a global program supporting all marketplaces and operates out of Chennai. Amazon eCommerce Selection and Catalog Systems group at Amazon Chennai Center focuses on making direct impact on Selection for Amazon's Retail & 3rd party marketplace business across markets worldwide. The Selection Expansion team within this group owns end to end processes for discovering, prioritizing and adding new selection available to customers. This drives one of Amazon's core focus areas: providing the widest selection to customers. We operate in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment offering new challenges and opportunities for making impactful changes in the Amazon ecosystem.   Within the Selection Expansion team, we are looking for a seasoned analytics manager who will be responsible for leading and performing analysis on large volumes of data, synthesizing the analysis into business insights and communicating the findings to various stakeholders. To be eligible, the candidate must possess superior written and verbal communication skills too, in addition to proven analytical skills.  Basic Qualifications :   - Strong Analytical skills : Has ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusion relevant to the business problem  - Communication skills : Ability to communicate (written and spoken) in English. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories. Ability to present information professionally & concisely with supporting data.  - 3-7 years of experience in hands on Analytics, dashboarding, querying  - Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. VB programming is a plus  - Ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.   - Ability to engage with cross-functional teams for implementation of project/program requirements  Preferred Qualifications :   - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar quantitative discipline  - MBA/MS/M Tech from elite institutes  - Experience of leading a team with direct management responsibility  - People management experience  Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
