
Product Definition Analyst 3
Role Overview:
- The Product Definition Analyst / Business Analyst is responsible for translating business requirements into clear, high- quality functional solutions.
- The role involves close collaboration with Product Management, Development, Testing, and Customer- facing teams to ensure functional consistency, system integrity, and successful delivery across the product lifecycle.
- The role requires strong functional expertise, structured analysis, and the ability to work within established processes while continuously proposing improvements.
Common Accountabilities:
- Demonstrates strong technical and functional knowledge and experience in the assigned discipline.
- Understands the Hospitality business context and how the role contributes to overall business objectives.
- Works within established procedures, guidelines, and methodologies, providing inputs to support and influence area- level decisions.
- Analyze multiple sources of information to recommend new solutions and propose continuous improvements.
- Operates with a moderate level of guidance and direction from the manager.
- Experience with Hospitality is a plus
Specific Accountabilities:
Requirement Analysis & Functional Expertise:
- Assess and analyze business requirements submitted by Product Management and Product owner.
- Handle ambiguous situations and bring clarity to product features.
- Build, maintain, and share functional knowledge of processes, services, and end- user product usage.
- Size specification and assess feasibility of proposed architecture and solutions.
- Working knowledge of UML, JSON and JSON API, web services, XML, XML API, XML SCHEMA, XSLT, XSD
Functional Design & Documentation:
- Carry out functional design activities aligned with business and technical constraints.
Produce and maintain key functional deliverables, including:
Feasibility Studies:
- Solution Overview Documents
- Interface Control Documents
Product Specifications:
- Prepare and present functional walkthroughs to all relevant stakeholders.
- Interface with relevant departments to identify dependencies and ensure functional compatibility with overall product.
- Review test plans to ensure compliance with functional specifications and overall system integrity.
Stakeholder & Collaboration Management:
- Interface and communicate effectively with Product Management, Project Management, Development, Amadeus Customer Services, Implementation, and Migration teams.
- Interface with customers during requirement understanding, functional specification, testing, and implementation phases.
- Support team stakeholders by actively participating in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, solution assessments, and other team events.
