Your future role:
- Take on a new challenge and apply your customs compliance expertise in a dynamic and impactful field.
- You'll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
- You'll ensure seamless customs compliance and drive strategic initiatives to optimize customs-related processes.
- Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as finance, supply chain, and legal), provide advisory support to stakeholders, and manage customs-related audits, litigations, and compliance requirements, among other responsibilities.
- You'll specifically take care of managing mandatory and statutory compliances under Customs law, but also identify opportunities for tax savings and mitigation of customs-related risks.
We'll look to you for:
- Acting as a single point of contact (SPOC) for all customs-related litigations and processes.
- Advising business and supply chain teams on customs-related issues and compliance requirements.
- Monitoring and managing customs litigations and refunds, including designing strategies for resolution.
- Providing guidance on compliance and documentation for incentives under the Foreign Trade Policy RODTEP, Duty Drawback, Advance Licenses, EPCG Licenses
- Supporting tenders and projects from a customs perspective.
- Collaborating with government authorities during audits and investigations.
- Evaluating Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and advising on their impact.

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- MBA, Chartered Accountant, or Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent).
- 8-10 years of experience in customs, with exposure to indirect taxation and DGFT matters.
- Working knowledge of indirect taxation (preferred).
- Up-to-date knowledge of customs legislation and recent tax updates.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for internal and external interfaces.
