Alpha Alternatives is a multi-asset class alternatives asset management platform based out of India and Singapore, with over Rs 12,000 Crores of assets under management, and deep focus on alpha generation. We are passionate about finding alternative investment opportunities that can deliver superior risk-return characteristics. We operate across various alternative spaces like Commodities, Equities, Absolute Returns, Structured Credit, Fixed Income and Quant. Our products span across various investment structures such as AIF, PMS, NBFC and FPI. Our team consists of 150+ people who are vastly experienced across domestic and global hedge funds and financial institutions and have strong academic credentials at top universities. We are looking for an Execution Head Trader cum Developer for our Quant business (mid/low frequency absolute return trading). The person will work closely with the Partner and senior quant strategists and will be responsible for managing the entire live trading environment along with its full array of challenges - from trade monitoring, improving execution algos, ad-hoc development of various trading tools, to overseeing the trading infra tech stack. The team manages both proprietary and client funds which are scaling up rapidly. Qualification & Background: - 5+ years of experience in leading mid/low frequency shops, HFT firms, or prop desks on execution side - Very strong understanding of trading infra, software, APIs, order and trade flow management. Understanding of hardware, exchange protocols, and networking is an added advantage - Extremely proactive personality with an eye for detail and strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills - Excellent programming skills in Python, C/C++/C# is a must. Familiarity with Linux is a plus Quantitative trading throws new curveball challenges every single day.
