Responsibilities:

1. Long Short Trading/Market Analysis:

- Develop and deploy discretionary, alpha generating Long/Short Strategies.

- Stay informed about global economic indicators and market trends that may impact commodity prices.

- Proactively identify and recommend innovative ideas to enhance existing strategies and create new, cutting-edge approaches.

2. Risk Management:

- Monitor and assess risk exposure related to commodity positions.

- Work closely with risk management teams to implement appropriate risk mitigation measures.

3. Data Management:

- Maintain and update trading databases with relevant market information.

- Generate reports and summaries to assist in decision-making processes.

4. Compliance:

- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies governing commodity trading activities.

- Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices.

5. Communication:

- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

- Provide regular updates on market conditions and trading activities.

6. Trade Execution:

- Assist in the execution of commodity trades, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

- Collaborate with other traders to develop and implement trading strategies.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

- Familiarity with trading energy markets is a plus.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Proficiency in relevant software and tools

- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
