Position : Debt Syndication Expert

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Debt Syndication Expert to join our consulting practice and lead debt fund-raising mandates for corporate clients across sectors. The role involves end-to end responsibility for client acquisition, transaction structuring, lender engagement, and closure of debt deals through banks, NBFCs, AIFs, and other financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Client Advisory & Deal Structuring

- Engage with mid- to large-sized corporates to assess their financing needs.

- Structure appropriate debt instruments (term loans, working capital, project finance, structured debt, etc.).

- Advise clients on capital structure optimization and funding strategy.

2. Execution of Debt Mandates

- Prepare Information Memorandums, financial projections, and lender pitch materials.

- Lead the deal execution life cycle due diligence, lender negotiation, credit appraisal, documentation, and disbursement.

- Coordinate with legal, technical, and rating consultants as needed.

3. Lender & Investor Network Management

- Maintain strong relationships with commercial banks, NBFCs, DFIs, and private debt funds.

- Regularly engage with lenders to stay updated on their lending appetite and product offerings.

4. Business Development & Market Insights

- Source new mandates through industry connects, referrals, and networking.

- Track developments in the debt market, regulatory changes, and sectoral credit trends.

Required Skills :

- Solid understanding of corporate finance, credit appraisal, and debt markets.

- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

- Existing relationships with lending institutions is highly preferred.

- Ability to manage multiple clients and transactions simultaneously.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; good knowledge of financial modelling tools.

Preferred Background :

- Prior experience in a financial consulting firm, investment bank, NBFC, or corporate treasury.

- Sectoral experience in infrastructure, real estate, manufacturing, or energy is a plus.
