Role Overview
- We are looking for a Manager - Corporate Relations & Career Success to lead our placement and partnerships function, build strong recruiter/institution relationships, and ensure every AlmaBetter learner achieves their career goals.
- The role focuses on planning, implementing, and scaling AlmaBetter's placement initiatives across industries. The incumbent will lead a team responsible for expanding the hiring network, managing key recruiter relationships, and driving placement success metrics through data-driven, relationship-oriented strategies.
- Based out of our Bangalore office, this is a high-ownership role that blends business development, account management, student engagement, strategic coordination, and team leadership - ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic, result-oriented environments. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills and practical business acumen.
- Prior experience in placement management or strategic B2B partnerships is highly preferred.
Prime Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Business Development
-Design and execute placement strategies aligned with AlmaBetter's institutional goals.
- Identify and onboard new corporate partners across industries and regions.
- Build deep, long-term relationships with decision-makers (CXOs, HR Heads, Talent Acquisition Leads) to generate placement opportunities.
- Represent AlmaBetter in corporate meetings, hiring events, and career fairs.
2. Recruiter Relationship Management
- Strengthen partnerships with existing hiring companies and increase engagement through regular communication, performance reviews, and success showcases.
- Develop a structured engagement calendar for recruiters, including placement drives, webinars, and alumni networking events.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell other AlmaBetter programs to partner companies.
3. Student Engagement and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the learning and mentorship teams to align student readiness with industry demand, and ensure better job-fit alignment.-
- Monitor and analyze placement performance data to recommend advanced strategies to improve placement success rates.
4. Team Leadership & Enablement
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of partnership and placement executives.
- Set clear KPIs, track progress, and ensure achievement of team and institutional targets.
- Build team capability in recruiter research, outreach, negotiation, and relationship management.
5. Operational Excellence & Reporting
- Oversee CRM hygiene, reporting accuracy, and data-driven decision-making.
- Manage department budgets and optimize costs while maintaining high performance.
- Publish periodic reports (monthly/quarterly) on placement outcomes, recruiter engagement, and market insights.
Requirements:
- 4-8 years of experience in Corporate Relations, Campus Placements, Talent Partnerships, or B2B Business Development.
- Prior experience leading a placement or partnerships team in EdTech, Higher Education, or HR/Staffing domain preferred.
- Strong corporate network and understanding of the tech and digital ecosystem.
- Data-driven mindset with ability to derive insights from CRM and placement analytics
- Excellent communication, networking, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Strategic planning and stakeholder management experience
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn outreach, CRM tools, and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Zoho/HubSpot) and MS Office Suite
- Based in Bangalore and open to working from the office.
