Job Title: Senior Manager - PMO
Location: Pune
Experience Required: 8 to 12 years
Role Overview:
The Senior Manager - PMO will play a pivotal role in leading PMO operations, governance, and delivery excellence across the organization.
This role combines strategic portfolio oversight with strong operational execution, ensuring that projects are aligned with business priorities and delivered to the highest standards.
In addition to governance and reporting, the role will manage critical operational processes including user ID management, resource allocation, data management, invoicing support, compliance tracking, training enablement, and customer/vendor onboarding support-enabling smooth, efficient, and value-driven delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
PMO Governance & Strategy:
- Establish and maintain PMO standards, frameworks, and processes to ensure consistent project delivery across the organization.
- Oversee project portfolio management, prioritization, and alignment with business goals.
- Implement governance frameworks including RAID, stage gates, and change control processes.
- Drive compliance with ISO certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and support ESG & CSR initiatives.
Operational & Administrative Oversight:
- Manage user ID creation/deactivation and ensure smooth access governance for project resources.
- Lead resource allocation to projects, ensuring optimal utilization and forecasting.
- Oversee account administrative data management and centralized data repositories for accuracy, accessibility, and security.
- Support invoicing processes, SOW tracking, and project onboarding activities.
- Maintain internal data quality and coordinate internal audits for compliance and operational excellence.
Knowledge, Analytics & Enablement:
- Drive knowledge management initiatives and promote cross-pollination of information across teams.
- Standardize templates, reports, and dashboards to enable consistent reporting.
- Lead analytics enablement for project tracking, performance measurement, and decision-making.
- Provide need-based analytics and insights to leadership for strategic planning.
Stakeholder Engagement & Support:
- Support customer/vendor onboarding with required documentation, compliance checks, and systems setup.
- Facilitate communication between delivery teams, leadership, and clients to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Act as an escalation point for governance, delivery, and operational challenges.
Capability Building:
- Lead training and development programs for project managers and PMO staff.
- Promote continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in project management.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across the PMO and delivery teams.
