Alicon Castalloy Ltd. is a Pune-headquartered manufacturer of aluminium alloy castings, serving the automotive and e-mobility industries as well as non-automotive sectors such as defence, energy, agriculture and aerospace. The company designs, casts, machines and finishes precision aluminium components for two-wheeler, passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle and off-highway OEMs in India and globally, exporting to markets across close to 18 countries. Alongside its plants at Chinchwad and Shikrapur (Pune), Alicon operates a manufacturing facility at Binola, Gurugram strategically located on NH-48, within the Gurugram-Manesar-Bawal automotive belt historically known for cylinder heads, transmission and engine-mounting brackets, intake manifolds, crankcases, bridge fork tops and related aluminium castings.
Job Purpose:
The Marketing Head Binola will lead the plant's sales, business development and key account management function, driving profitable revenue growth and strengthening relationships with existing and prospective OEM customers for the plant's casting and machined-component portfolio. The role owns the techno-commercial relationship with customers end-to-end from RFQ to order to delivery while coordinating closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing and finance to ensure the plant wins, executes and retains profitable business.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Key Account Management:
- Own the order-booking and revenue targets for accounts serviced from the Binola plant.
- Act as the single point of contact for key OEM accounts; build and deepen relationships at multiple levels (purchasing, engineering, quality).
- Identify and convert new business new customers, new component programs, import substitution and export opportunities.
- Track customers' upcoming vehicle/platform programs and sourcing plans to position Alicon early in the RFQ cycle.
Commercial Management & Costing:
- Lead preparation and submission of techno-commercial quotations/RFQs, working closely with costing, engineering and plant teams.
- Negotiate piece prices, tooling costs and terms; drive annual price revisions in line with aluminium/RM cost movements while protecting plant margins.
- Ensure timely closure of contracts, LOIs and purchase orders.
New Product Introduction & Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Liaise with design, quality (APQP/PPAP) and operations to ensure smooth launch of new components/programs.
- Track customer scorecards, quality ratings and delivery commitments; drive corrective action where required.
- Coordinate customer audits, technical reviews and periodic business reviews (QBRs).
Planning, Forecasting & MIS:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly sales forecasts, demand plans and order-book reports for management.
- Monitor competitor activity and auto/e-mobility industry trends to inform plant strategy.
- Support the annual operating plan (AOP) and budgeting for the marketing function.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership:
- Lead, mentor and develop the plant's marketing/key-account team.
- Coordinate with corporate marketing, finance (receivables/collections) and SCM to ensure smooth order execution.
- Represent Alicon at customer meetings, vendor conferences and industry forums.
Key Performance Indicators:
- New business/order-booking value ( Cr) vs. target.
- Revenue and contribution margin achievement vs. AOP.
- Customer scorecard rating / quality-delivery performance.
- RFQ turnaround time and quote-to-order conversion rate.
- Receivables (DSO) for accounts managed.
Educational Qualification:
- Essential: BE / B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering).
- Preferred: MBA / PGDM (Marketing or Sales).
Experience:
- 12 - 18 years in Sales, Marketing or Business Development within the auto-component, forging, casting or precision-machining industry.
- Demonstrated success managing OEM key accounts (2-wheeler / passenger vehicle / commercial vehicle / off-highway).
- End-to-end exposure to the RFQ-to-order lifecycle, including costing and commercial negotiation.
- Prior experience in a plant- or location-level marketing leadership role is an advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Techno-commercial acumen; working knowledge of aluminium die-casting (HPDC/LPDC/Gravity) and downstream machining.
- Strong negotiation and OEM relationship-management skills.
- Ability to read component drawings and costing sheets, and interpret quality/technical requirements (APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949).
- Analytical ability for forecasting, budgeting and MIS; working knowledge of SAP/ERP and MS Office.
- People leadership able to build, mentor and manage a small team.
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer locations and other plants.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (English and Hindi).
