Responsible for providing central expertise, support, and control for all projects in scope including developing plans and templates, following-through tasks across stakeholder groups, training/mentoring project teams, monitoring inter-project dependencies, and reporting project status and budget utilization to leadership.


Focuses solely on project cost control.

Refers to corporate, franchise, and specific function-driven projects, including Business Development/M&A, Digital Innovation, Analytics & Insights, Regulatory, Commercial and Customer Support, and Enabling Functions.

This role is part of Alcon's Project Management function, a team that ensures all regular and one-off projects are planned, organized, and executed effectively to help our people and the world see brilliantly.

The Manager, Project/Program Management (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for leading and coordinating projects and programs to ensure they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

You will build effective relationships with collaborators, drive project planning, manage risks, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Specifics Include:

- Lead and oversee the successful execution of projects and programs.

- Provide strategic guidance to project teams.

- Ensure projects are completed within stipulated timelines and budgets.

- Coordinate with various stakeholders.

- Drive project planning, risk management, and resource allocation.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Apply advanced knowledge, skills, and experience to achieve objectives predominantly through self-directed workAll associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:

- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc. +9 yrs; M.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs).

- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.

- 5 Years of Relevant Experience.

- Position can be leveled up/down.

HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:

- 5+ years of progressive experience in project/program management.

- 5+ years experience managing technical/digital projects.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project lifecycle management.

- Strong experience in change management and organizational transformation.

- Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders across various functions.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
