Summary of Position:

In the Manager, Health, Safety & Environment Management (M) role, you will manage a team completing projects related to health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring goals are met through self-directed work and effective oversight.

You will lead the team to create and implement comprehensive health, safety and environmental programs to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental accidents.

Additionally, you will inspect workplace and HSE incidents in accordance with company procedures, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.

You will identify areas for improvement, develop and manage training plans for environmental and employee health and safety, and maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the organization's HSE performance.

Your role will impact project performance and success, requiring leadership, time management, effective communication, and industry-specific knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate the timely collection and reporting of environmental activity data from sites, functions, and systems.

- Perform structured validations and drive data quality issue resolution and document corrective actions.

- Execute defined data controls aligned to the HSE/Sustainability control framework.

- Maintain auditready evidence repositories and inventory of controls, control execution plans and process maps.

- Support the annual sustainability/ESG reporting cycle.

- Operate and improve EHS/ESG data systems and reporting tools.

- Serve as point of contact for Internal Audit and support remediation planning.

- Facilitate internal and external limited assurance procedures.

- Contribute to automation, master data governance, and standardization.

- Partner with HSE leaders and other functions to ensure consistent methodology application.

- Communicate status, risks, and readiness to leadership.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

- Strong grasp of environmental metrics and methods.

- 8-10 years of total experience.

- Transformation of structured and unstructured data sources.

- Expertise in data validation and control execution.

- Working knowledge of CSRD/ESRS, GHG Protocol, and other frameworks.

- Clear communicator with strong project and stakeholder management skills.

- Good Leadership skills.

- Data Management and Analytics software (Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Copilot, API, Python, Power Automate).

Success Measures:

- Ontime, complete, and accurate data submissions across all reporting units.

- Reduction in validation errors and control exceptions quarteroverquarter.

- Positive Internal Audit and external assurance outcomes (no/limited findings, timely remediation).

- Accurate, onschedule delivery of CSRD/ESRS metrics and narrative support.

- Documented SOPs and trained data owners with improved firsttimeright rates.

Behavioral Competencies:

- Demonstrates strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.

- Exhibits high attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.

- Fosters a culture of collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

Enterprise Systems:

- Experience with enterprise HSE platforms such as SAP EHS, Enablon, or similar systems is preferred.

Decision-Making Authority:

- Authorized to resolve escalated data quality issues and recommend process changes to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Strategic Input:

- Contributes to the development and refinement of HSE data strategy, policies, and long-term sustainability goals.

Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST.
