AkzoNobel - IFRS Domain Expert - Pension & HR Accounting

Purpose of Job :

Preparation and execution of a broad range of accounting assignments in the field of (pension and HR) accounting:

- Prepare and analyze consolidated pension reporting

- Review share-based payment accounting as prepared by the RAC

- Monitor consolidated accounting for corporate short-term incentive programs and for the Dutch payroll

- Review finance income and expense on consolidated level

Role & responsibilities :

Pensions :

- Monthly pension accounting in cooperation with the Pension Controller of Pensions department.

- Liaise with actuary WTW on AkzoNobel requirements for completion of the FAStrack database (with all actuarial report data) and upload into HFM

- Completion of figures for annual pension disclosure notes

HR :

- Assess accounting consequences and treatments of developments for AN HR NL

- Review share-based payment journals as prepared by RAC

- Monitor consolidated accounting for corporate short-term incentive programs and for the Dutch payroll

- Participation on departmental accounting and improvement projects

Interest and other responsibilities :

- Review finance income and expense on consolidated level

- Liaise with Treasury accountant and internally on top over insurance adjustment

Preferred candidate profile :

- This job requires an experienced accountant (4-6 years) with expertise in the area of IFRS.

- A solid financial background is necessary in order to be able to monitor and handle complex pension and other HR accounting issues

- Good communication skills are also required for many contacts with staff at all levels of accounting, pension, HR and other corporate departments.

- The Code of Insider Trading is applicable to this job. The job requires observing high ethical standards.

- Perform accounting on University level by education or experience

- Extensive experience in accounting and reporting

- Well informed on IFRS standards

- Knowledge of Oracle/HFM is an advantage

- Flexible hands-on self-starter/problem solver
