Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Product Head to lead the development and execution of Aksums proprietary technology modules. This role involves end-to-end product ownership from gathering business requirements to delivering robust, scalable solutions in collaboration with in-house teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Product Planning & Strategy
- Define the product roadmap in alignment with Aksums business goals.
- Prioritize features and modules based on stakeholder input, business impact, and technical feasibility.
- Translate business requirements into clear product specifications and development plans.
Vendor Management
- Collaborate with external tech vendors to build custom modules using proprietary code.
- Define and monitor vendor SLAs, timelines, and deliverables.
- Act as the primary liaison between Aksum and third-party vendors to ensure alignment and timely execution.
Cross-functional Team Leadership
- Lead and coordinate efforts across internal teams including Testing/QA, Business Analysis (BA), Development, and Documentation.
- Ensure clear delegation of tasks, adherence to deadlines, and seamless integration between modules.
- Conduct regular sprint reviews, planning, and stand-ups to monitor progress and address blockers.
Technical Oversight
- Finalize and validate business requirements with the tech team to ensure feasibility and alignment with system architecture.
- Oversee code quality, design standards, and data integrity across developed modules.
- Provide high-level guidance on system integration, scalability, and security.
Technology Stack Expertise
- Strong working knowledge of Python and the Frappe framework.
- Hands-on experience or working knowledge with ERP Next customization and deployment.
- Understanding of hosting environments, especially AWS infrastructure, and network configuration.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all modules are well-documented, version-controlled, and compliant with internal and external regulations.
- Maintain product documentation, including user guides, functional specifications, and technical design documents.
- Stakeholder Management
- Regularly engage with business stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure product relevance and usability.
- Conduct demonstrations and training sessions for end-users.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in product management or technical leadership roles.
- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency with Python, Frappe framework, ERPNext, and AWS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS product development.
- Prior exposure to building or scaling ERP systems.
- Certifications in product management, cloud computing, or agile practices.
