Role: VP - Retail Credit Policy & Portfolio Analytics
Location: Mumbai
Role Purpose:
Build and drive the credit policy and portfolio risk framework for AK Capital's retail lending initiatives as the business is scaled.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop credit policies (particularly secured), product programs and underwriting norms for identified retail products (particularly secured), customer segments and sourcing/partnership models.
- Define customer selection criteria, credit filters, bureau norms, FOIR/LTV, scorecards and other product-level underwriting parameters.
- Set up the portfolio monitoring and analytics framework covering delinquencies, vintages, roll rates, early-warning indicators, concentrations and other key portfolio metrics.
- Use portfolio analytics to recommend changes in credit policy, underwriting cut-offs, exposure limits and sourcing strategy.
- Evaluate credit and portfolio risks for co-lending, fintech/originator partnerships and acquired loan pools.
- Work closely with Business, Credit, Collections, Operations and Technology to embed appropriate credit controls as the retail business scales.
Experience & Qualification:
- 8 - 12 years in retail credit policy/portfolio risk with a bank or NBFC, with experience in setting up or significantly scaling a retail lending product/business.
- Strong analytical and hands-on credit policy experience required.
- CA/MBA/FRM preferred.
