Description:
Position: Purchase Manager
Location: Sri City (Andhra Pradesh)
Experience: 10-12 Years
Industry Preference: Auto Parts / Automotive Components / Manufacturing
Employment Type: Full-time
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply base.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, annual rate contracts, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality, and reliability.
Vendor Management & Coordination
- Build strong relationships with OEM suppliers, Tier-1 & Tier-2 vendors.
- Conduct regular vendor audits in coordination with QA and production teams.
- Ensure materials are delivered on time to support production schedules.
Cost Control & Process Improvement
- Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and negotiation strategies.
- Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and availability risks.
- Implement procurement best practices, SOPs, and system improvements.
Operational Coordination
- Collaborate with production, QA/QC, planning, stores, and logistics teams.
- Resolve procurement issues, shortages, and supplier escalations.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, MIS reports, and compliance documentation.
Compliance & Systems
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.
- Work on SAP/ERP systems for PRs, POs, and inventory updates.
Requirements:
- 10-12 years of procurement experience in auto parts, automotive components, or manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and sourcing skills.
- Hands-on experience managing procurement for high-volume manufacturing units.
- Good understanding of engineering parts, machining components, and quality requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Engineering background (Mechanical/Automobile) is a strong advantage.
