Job Purpose:
Responsible for driving negotiations of aircraft financing and leasing through maintaining strong
relationships with lessors, financial institutions, and OEMs for Air India Group Fleet (including Air India,
AIX, AIX Connect and Vistara)
Key Accountabilities:
Leasing & Financing:
- Support in the development and implementation of the process for leasing and financing in line with Air India's fleet plan and network
- Responsible for negotiating term-sheets for aircraft financing on various parameters and ensuring various financing documents are in place well before aircraft delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions including banks, lessors, etc. and OEM
- Support the lead - Leasing and financing in the preparations and maintenance of complex financial
models, including evaluating key assumptions, building scenarios, and performing sensitivity analysis to
aid in the decision making
- Responsible for obtaining market intelligence on what other airlines and lessors are doing and benchmark against best rates and practices for leases
- Ensure understanding of Air India strategy, financial performance and be responsible for preparing and presenting credit presentation for the lessors
- Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of various financial models
- Collaborate within procurement teams for business approvals, financial and business monitoring, performance analysis and other initiatives
- Responsible for negotiating best terms and execution of documents for lease extensions, amendments, novation etc.
- Collaborate with fleet acquisition and planning teams to understand the financing/additional capacity requirements
- Support the lead in preparing reports and conducting analysis for the senior leadership
- Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work.
- The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Key Interfaces:
Internal Interfaces:
- Legal, tax, technical: Collaborate with legal, tax and technical team to finalize the financing and
leasing documents
- Finance: Collaborate with Finance Teams to ensure that various financing
documents are in place and compliant well before aircraft delivery
- Fleet Acquisition & Planning teams: Collaborate with fleet acquisition and planning teams to understand the financing/additional capacity requirements
External Interfaces:
- Legal Counsels: Coordinate with external legal counsel on the leasing and financing
documents
- Financial Institutions/Lessor: Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions including banks, lessors, etc.
- OEMs: Own and manage all OEM relationships, contracts, etc.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Minimum Education requirements: Masters/MBA/PGDM/PGP/PG degree, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field
