About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Manager to lead and manage end-to-end air freight operations, drive business growth, and ensure seamless coordination across import and export functions. The ideal candidate must have strong industry knowledge and proven experience in Air Freight Forwarding.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee air freight import and export operations.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, agents, and clients.

- Drive business development by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.

- Ensure smooth coordination between internal teams for timely cargo movement.

- Negotiate rates with carriers and partners to achieve competitive pricing.

- Monitor shipment performance, resolve escalations, and ensure service excellence.

- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, documentation standards, and company policies.

- Lead and mentor team members to achieve operational and sales targets.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

- Achievement of monthly and quarterly air freight volume and revenue targets.

- Increase in customer acquisition and retention.

- On-time delivery performance and reduction in operational delays.

- Negotiation efficiencies leading to improved profit margins.

- Compliance accuracy in documentation and regulatory processes.

- Team productivity and adherence to service quality standards.

Required Skillsets:

- In-depth knowledge of Air Freight Forwarding and Logistics industry.

- Strong selling, negotiation, and client management skills.

- Proven track record in handling import/export air freight cargo.

- Strong understanding of rate procurement, pricing, and market dynamics.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities.

- Ability to manage operational challenges and resolve client escalations efficiently.

- Proficiency in documentation, international trade processes, and cargo compliance.

- Master's/ Bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or International Trade (preferred).
