AI Project Manager - Technology Consulting Firm

Role: AI Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

AI Program Delivery:

- Own end-to-end delivery of AI/ML projects (use cases, pilots, production rollouts)

- Manage project lifecycle: problem definition data readiness model development deployment scaling

- Ensure alignment with business outcomes and measurable value

Stakeholder & Client Management

- Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, AI teams, and leadership

- Drive executive reviews, roadmap alignment, and value realization discussions

- Translate business problems into AI-driven solutions

Agile & Execution Excellence

- Run Agile ceremonies for cross-functional teams (Data Science, ML Engineering, Data Engineering)

- Track progress using KPIs: model accuracy, latency, adoption, ROI

- Manage risks related to data quality, model performance, and deployment

Cross-functional Coordination

- Work closely with:

- AI/ML teams (model development)

- Data Engineering (pipelines, data readiness)

- DevOps/MLOps (deployment, monitoring)

- Ensure smooth handoffs across SDLC and MLOps lifecycle

Governance & Scaling:

- Establish delivery frameworks for AI programs

- Drive model governance, compliance, and ethical AI practices

- Enable scaling of successful pilots into enterprise-wide deployments

Required Skills & Experience:

Must-Have

- 8+ years in software delivery / product / platform environments

- 2+ years exposure to AI/ML projects or data-driven solutions

Strong understanding of:

- AI/ML lifecycle (training, validation, deployment)

- Data pipelines and model evaluation metrics

- Experience working with engineering + data science teams

- Strong Agile/Scrum program management experience

Good-to-Have:

Exposure to:

- Generative AI / LLM use cases

- MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, etc.)

- Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

- Experience in client-facing consulting roles

- Understanding of domain-specific AI use cases (BFSI, Retail, Telecom, etc.)

Success Metrics:

- Successful delivery of AI use cases into production

- Business impact (revenue uplift, cost reduction, efficiency gains)

- Model performance (accuracy, latency, scalability)

- Client satisfaction and repeat business

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Not a traditional Project Manager must understand AI-first delivery

- Comfortable working with ambiguity and experimentation

- Strong ability to bridge business + AI + engineering

- Outcome-driven mindset with focus on value, not just delivery
