Role Overview:
The Manager - SAP Consultant will oversee end-to-end SAP functional operations across multiple modules, ensuring seamless business support, issue resolution, system stability, and continuous improvement. The role requires coordination with internal business teams and SAP consultants to enhance system performance and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (KRA):
- Manage and coordinate daily SAP functional issues across modules such as SD, MM, FI, CO, PP, WM, PM, and QM.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all SAP-related queries, issues, and functional support requests.
- Oversee and track issues using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, or ZohoDesk.
- Ensure timely resolution of SAP incidents by collaborating with internal functional/technical teams and external partners.
- Prioritize, escalate, and follow up on critical business-impacting issues to avoid operational disruptions.
- Maintain SAP issue logs, generate weekly/monthly performance dashboards, and present insights to management.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
- Coordinate and support UAT, regression testing, and validation activities for system changes and enhancements.
- Manage SAP master data quality, governance, and consistency across business functions.
- Support creation of functional documents, user manuals, SOPs, and change management documentation.
- Provide SAP user training, guidance, and best practice advisory to ensure smooth system adoption.
- Monitor SLA compliance, ensure process adherence, and continuously improve support performance.
- Coordinate change requests, review functional requirements, and communicate updates across stakeholders.
- Contribute to SAP improvement projects, minor enhancements, and new functionality deployment.
Required Skillsets:
- Strong functional knowledge of multiple SAP modules (SD/MM/FI/CO/PP/WM/PM/QM).
- Hands-on experience in SAP issue management, ticketing systems, and SLA tracking.
- Proficiency in incident tracking tools such as ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, or ZohoDesk.
- Good understanding of SAP master data, business processes, and cross-functional process flows.
- Basic experience in SAP configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to perform root-cause analysis.
- Experience in conducting UAT, regression testing, and validation for SAP enhancements.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for business and IT coordination.
- Ability to document issues, prepare MIS dashboards, and track performance metrics.
- Knowledge of change request processes, ITIL concepts, and SAP best practices.
- Ability to train business users and support process standardization initiatives.
