Job Title: Deputy Manager Material Management (Purchase)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Deputy Manager Material Management (Purchase) to manage the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and fuels while ensuring timely delivery, vendor compliance, and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate will bring 4-6 years of relevant experience in procurement within the chemical manufacturing industry and a proven ability to manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and align material availability with production planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and fuels based on production planning and purchase requisitions.

- Ensure timely placement of purchase orders and coordinate deliveries to meet production timelines.

- Monitor stock levels and adjust procurement strategies based on market trends, price fluctuations, and lead times.

- Conduct vendor evaluation and performance reviews in line with ISO/IMS compliance requirements.

- Resolve issues related to product quality, documentation discrepancies, and invoice mismatches in coordination with user departments.

- Identify and source new domestic and international suppliers for raw materials to support R&D initiatives.

- Submit accurate monthly cash flow forecasts for vendor payment planning.

- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure service continuity and cost advantages.

- Perform regular cost comparisons and negotiate optimal pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions.

- Ensure accurate procurement data entry and tracking in SAP.

Required Skillsets:

- Strong knowledge of procurement practices in the chemical manufacturing sector

- Hands-on experience with SAP MM (Materials Management) module

- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

- Proficient in analyzing market trends, pricing, and supplier performance

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional coordination

- Ability to interpret technical material requirements and specifications

- Knowledge of ISO/IMS standards and compliance protocols

- Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making abilities

Position: Officer Production

Department: Production (Mahalaabh)

Location: Dhordo, Bhuj Kutch

Education Qualification: B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry) / Diploma (Chemical) or B.E (Chemical)/MBA in operations

Experience: 3 to 6 Years

Job Responsibilities:

- Supervise day-to-day production activities in the Mahalaabh unit ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety.

- Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and IMS (Integrated Management System) standards.

- Monitor and control process parameters to achieve targeted output with minimal wastage.

- Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure uninterrupted and efficient operations.

- Prepare and maintain accurate records such as daily production reports, batch records, and logbooks.

- Actively participate in IMS (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

- Maintain and update IMS-related documentation including procedures, work instructions, and checklists.

- Assist in production planning and raw material management.

- Train and guide plant operators and contract manpower for process and safety compliance.

- Escalate deviations, quality issues, or safety concerns to the Production Manager.

- Support continuous improvement, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives across the department.

Key Skills Required:

- Strong knowledge of chemical processes and plant operations.

- Good understanding of IMS standards and audit compliance.

- Excellent leadership and team handling skills.

- Familiar with safety practices, documentation, and lean manufacturing principles.

- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP (preferred).

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
