Role Overview:
We are looking for a Valuation Associate / Team Leader with 2-4 years of experience in valuation advisory to join our growing practice. The role involves working on complex valuation engagements, supporting client deliverables, and contributing to practice development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and client-facing engagements, preferably from valuation teams of Big4 or reputed valuation firms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Valuation Engagement Delivery:
Execute end-to-end valuation assignments across:
i. Purchase Price Allocation (PPA)
ii. Intangible Asset Valuation (IP, brand, technology)
iii. Business & Equity Valuation
iv. Group / portfolio valuations
Apply multiple valuation methodologies including:
i. DCF, Comparable Companies, Precedent Transactions
ii. Option Pricing Models (Black-Scholes, etc.)
iii. Probability-based and Monte Carlo simulations
- Build and review robust financial models and perform sensitivity analysis
- Prepare valuation reports, memos, and client presentations
2. Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management:
- Interact with clients to gather data, explain methodologies, and present findings
- Support senior team members in client discussions and negotiations
- Ensure high-quality deliverables within timelines and compliance frameworks
3. Team & Project Management:
- Manage multiple engagements simultaneously
- Mentor junior analysts and review their work
- Ensure adherence to valuation standards (Ind AS / IFRS / US GAAP)
4. Practice Development & R&D:
- Contribute to practice-building initiatives and solution development
- Work on R&D metrics, valuation frameworks, and knowledge repositories
- Support business development (proposals, pitch decks, thought leadership)
Required Skills & Expertise:
Strong expertise in:
i. Financial modeling & valuation techniques
ii. Accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS preferred)
iii. Advanced Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with tools/databases: Capital IQ, Bloomberg (good to have)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills
Qualifications:
- CA / ACCA / CPA / CFA / MBA (Finance)/CMA
- Registered Valuer (RV) preferred
