Grade/Band : Manager / Sr Manager Reporting to : Head - Digital Solutions Function : IT Sub Function : Digital Solutions Role : Project Manager Job Purpose: - Conduct end-to-end implementation of digital applications across design, planning, development, performance improvement, continuous assessment, and defect management, to ensure timely delivery of the complete product lifecycle with 99% uptime. Key Responsibility: - Solution Design and Planning - Review the understanding document prepared by the Business Analyst for completeness. - Follow up for any queries or gaps. - Ensure Design of the technical specification document based on the FRS from Business Analysts. - Finalize delivery timelines and ensure optimum resource utilization - Development and Testing - Drive project management of the system development and testing by allocating tasks to the Delivery team and tracking progress of deliverables. - Drive deployment of new functionalities in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production environments. - Monitor comprehensive and regression testing of the change requests/ defect fixes deployed in UAT environment. - Drive understanding of the change/ defect fix requirements by the developers, to reduce chances of bugs at a later stage. Defect Management: - Monitor post deployment issues and drive fixing/ resolution. - Review to ensure that code reviews are done to reduce defects during the testing phases. - Validate and review configuration documents (code files, db scripts, application configuration documents) before deployment. - Assess and consider all kinds of risk to review and make informed decisions around new initiatives or responses to situations. Vendor Management: - Guide vendors in system deployments and debugging of issues post deployment. - Align vendor resources based on priority of requirement and availability of resources. - Monitor vendor performance on periodic frequency. Required Education & Experience: - Graduate in Engineering or Post-graduate in IT/ Computer Applications - Post-graduation in Information Systems/ IT/ Insurance will be an advantage - 8 - 10 years of experience in managing digital projects, handling enterprise applications, with knowledge of technologies like HTML, React, Java, PL/SQL, Web services, Databases - Experience of working in Life Insurance industry will be an advantage - Understanding of cloud technologies
