Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Manager of After Sales & Services to lead our service operations, specifically focusing on our Tunnel Ventilation product line. Based in Gurugram, this critical leadership role requires extensive relevant experience in engineered products and services within heavy industries.
Core Responsibilities:
Business Development & Strategy:
- Drive growth of the After Sales & Services business unit, including spare parts sales, maintenance contracts, repairs, upgrades, and technical support for Tunnel Ventilation systems.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize service revenue, profitability, and customer retention within the defined industrial sectors.
- Identify new service opportunities and potential market segments for engineered ventilation products.
Technical & Product Expertise:
- Serve as the primary technical expert for all service-related activities concerning Ventilation Fans, including:
Primary Fans:
Axial Fans:
Jet Fans:
Oversee service delivery and technical support to clients in relevant industries, including:
- Auxiliary Fans
- Booster Fans
- Tunnels (Road/Rail)
- Metro Projects
- Marine
- Cement, Steel, and other heavy industries
- Ensure all service work aligns with product specifications, quality standards, and relevant industry regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the After Sales & Service team, ensuring high performance, technical competence, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage the service life cycle from contract negotiation and scheduling to execution, final sign-off, and invoicing.
- Control service budgets, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare regular reports on service revenue, costs, and customer satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Act as the escalation point for critical customer issues and technical disputes, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Gather customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in product reliability and service offerings.
Key Requirements & Experience:
- Mandatory B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in After Sales, Service Management, or Technical Sales/Support roles.
- Essential Relevant Services Business Experience: Proven experience with the service, maintenance, and support of engineered products, specifically in the domain of Industrial Ventilation or Rotating Equipment.
- Direct Experience in Target Industries: Demonstrable service business experience within Underground Mines, Tunnels, Metro, Marine, Cement, Steel, or similar heavy industries is non-negotiable.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing a service profit and loss (P&L) statement.
