The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing the overall supply chain strategy to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and support organizational goals. This role oversees all aspects of supply chain management including procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and demand planning. The Supply Chain Head works cross-functionally to ensure alignment with business objectives, and builds strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies in line with business objectives.

- Monitor key supply chain KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Procurement & Supplier Management:

- Oversee procurement processes and supplier relationship management.

- Negotiate contracts and ensure the best terms for quality, price, and delivery.

Logistics & Distribution:

- Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution planning to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

- Ensure on-time delivery of products to customers and/or retail locations.

Inventory Management:

- Optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts and overstocks.

- Implement robust inventory control systems and processes.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, coach, and develop supply chain team members to foster high performance.

- Build a culture of accountability and continuous development.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with production, sales, marketing, finance, and other departments.

- Align supply chain activities with demand forecasts and sales strategies.

Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

- Manage risks related to supply chain disruption and develop contingency plans.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.

- Minimum 15 years' experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

- Profound knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, systems, and best practices.

- Strong negotiating, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.

- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is essential.

- Knowledge of industry regulations and international trade (as relevant).
