DESIGNATION : PRESIDENT - EXTERNAL AFFAIRS / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

JOB SUMMARY:

The President - Business Development will be responsible for leading strategic efforts related to port operations, ensuring effective representation of the company in dealings with port authorities, government Ministry & agencies, and regulatory bodies. This executive role requires a strong understanding of port logistics, maritime regulations, and government liaison, with the ability to foster strategic relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.

Description:

Representation & Liaison:

- Represent the company in all matters related to port operations, including policy discussions, negotiations, and regulatory compliance.

- Act as the primary point of contact for communication with port authorities, maritime boards, customs, and relevant government bodies.

- Develop and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders in port and government sectors.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines set by port and maritime authorities.

- Monitor changes in port policies, government regulations, and industry standards to assess their impact on the company.

Strategic Leadership:

- Lead the development of strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency and strengthen the company's presence in the port sector.

- Provide guidance to internal teams on regulatory issues and port operational protocols.

Policy Advocacy:

- Advocate for company interests in industry forums, policy consultations, and government panels.

- Prepare and deliver official communications, position papers, and presentations for port and government meetings.

Crisis Management:

- Serve as the company's senior-most representative in addressing critical issues or disputes with port or government authorities.

- Lead the resolution of compliance, legal, or operational challenges arising from port-related matters.
