Position: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly strategic, data-driven, and forward-thinking Search Engine Optimization Manager to lead our SEO initiatives and scale our organic search performance across platforms. This role requires a strong blend of analytical rigor, technical fluency, leadership experience, and creative thinking to drive sustained traffic growth and maximize search visibility.

As the SEO Manager, you will spearhead the architecture and execution of advanced SEO strategies for diverse digital properties, mentor a high-performing team of SEO professionals, and collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, data, and content stakeholders to embed SEO best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Ownership: Define, execute, and evolve holistic SEO strategies aligned with business goals, market dynamics, and digital growth targets.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-caliber SEO team, setting clear performance standards and fostering continuous upskilling in technical, content, and analytical SEO.

- Search Algorithm Expertise: Stay ahead of algorithm updates, search engine behaviors, and emerging industry trends to proactively adjust strategy and ensure long-term performance stability.

- Technical SEO Excellence: Oversee comprehensive site audits to identify and resolve crawl, indexing, performance, and structural issues. Guide web developers on SEO-friendly architecture, schema implementation, and page speed optimization.

- Content & On-Page Optimization: Collaborate with editorial and UX teams to implement SEO-first content strategies, focusing on semantic relevance, keyword intent mapping, and meta architecture.

- Keyword Intelligence: Drive advanced keyword research initiatives leveraging intent modeling, SERP analysis, and competitive benchmarking to inform content and product strategy.

- Authority Building: Develop and execute sustainable link-building strategies, including digital PR, influencer outreach, and viral content activations that build authority and enhance domain reputation.

- Mobile & App SEO: Optimize for App Store visibility (ASO - Android & iOS), deep linking, and cross-platform discoverability in a mobile-first ecosystem.

- Analytics & Reporting: Define KPIs and success frameworks; build robust reporting dashboards to communicate impact, diagnose drop-offs, and identify optimization opportunities using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Marketing teams to embed SEO best practices into platform development, feature rollouts, and campaign execution.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Minimum 5+ years of proven SEO experience, including both B2B and B2C digital ecosystems.

- MBA in marketing is mandatory

- Deep expertise in SEO platforms (Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, BrightEdge, etc.) and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Looker Studio, etc.)

- Demonstrated experience managing SEO teams, vendors, and large-scale SEO initiatives.

- Strong understanding of modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript frameworks) and their implications for technical SEO.

- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and e-commerce platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.

- Proven ability to deliver measurable results, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and drive organizational SEO maturity.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, client interfacing experience a strong plus.

- Exposure to Social Media Optimization (SMO), App Store Optimization (ASO), and integrated digital performance marketing strategies is highly desirable.
