Job Description:
Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Funding Manager to lead and manage the organization's end-to-end funding strategy and lender relationships. This is a high-impact role working closely with top management and external financial institutions to secure project finance, construction loans, and working capital.
The role offers significant ownership, visibility, and long-term growth within a fast-growing real estate organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Funding & Lender Management:
- Lead all funding-related activities including project loans, construction finance, and working capital facilities.
- Independently manage relationships with Banks, NBFCs, HFCs, and other financial institutions.
- Handle end-to-end lender coordination from initial discussions to sanction, documentation, and disbursement.
- Ensure timely compliance with all lender-related CP/CS conditions and disbursement requirements.
Financial Planning & Project Support:
- Prepare and manage project cash flows, feasibility reports, and funding models.
- Track fund utilization and ensure alignment with approved budgets and lender covenants.
- Generate MIS, financial reports, and dashboards to support management-level decision making.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Coordinate with legal teams, valuers, auditors, trustees, and insurance partners for funding-related documentation.
- Oversee loan documentation, security creation, and charge registration processes.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, lender, and regulatory requirements.
Accounts, Taxation & RERA Compliance:
- Support accounts management, books finalization, and coordination with auditors.
- Assist in taxation-related matters including direct and indirect taxes, as applicable.
- Lead and monitor RERA compliance, filings, and reporting to ensure regulatory discipline.
Stakeholder & Internal Coordination:
- Act as a key interface between finance, legal, projects, and senior leadership.
- Provide regular updates to management on funding status, risks, and timelines.
- Proactively identify funding risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 10-18 years of experience in funding, project finance, or corporate finance, preferably in the real estate sector.
- Strong hands-on experience dealing with Banks, NBFCs, HFCs, and financial institutions.
- Expertise in project finance, construction finance, and working capital funding.
- Sound knowledge of CP/CS compliance, lender documentation, and disbursement processes.
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, feasibility analysis, and MIS reporting.
- Working knowledge of accounts finalization, taxation, and RERA compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and handle high-responsibility roles.
