Job Purpose :

To establish and scale a market-driven Application & Product Development Centre for the Chlor Alkali business with a strong focus on water chemicals and plasticizers. To drive the transition from established coagulant solutions to advanced flocculation and integrated water treatment offerings, while simultaneously building a differentiated plasticizer applications portfolio.

Key Accountabilities & Support Actions :

- Application-Led Development : To drive the development of advanced water treatment solutions, transitioning from coagulants to flocculation and integrated treatment programs.

- Plasticizer Application & Portfolio Development : Build and expand a differentiated plasticizer applications portfolio through development of industry-specific formulations and use-cases.

- Lab-to-Market Conversion & Commercialization : Translate R&D outputs into market-ready, deployable solutions.

- SOP & Scalable Deployment Systems : Establish robust SOPs and standardized application protocols to ensure consistent product performance.

- Product Quality & Process Improvement : Drive continuous improvement in product quality, consistency and process reliability.

- OEM Partnerships & Ecosystem Development : Identify and build strategic partnerships with OEMs and solution providers.

- Customer-Centric Technical Solutions : Lead the development of customized, application-based solutions to address customer challenges.

- R&D Centre Governance & Project Prioritization : Establish structured governance for the Application & Product Development Centre.

- Cross-Functional Integration & Market Alignment : Strengthen collaboration across R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales teams.

Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical / Chemistry). Postgraduate degree (MTech/MSc. / PhD) preferred.

- 15 - 20 years in chlor-alkali / water chemicals / plasticizers / specialty chemicals.

- Strong experience in application development, product improvement, and commercialization.

- Deep understanding of chemical processes, product behaviour, and application use-cases.
