Key Result Areas:

- To have expertise in the designated industry/sector and create quality ideas & error free reports:

- To ensure that checks and balances in place for quality reports (vetting of ideas).

- To understand the growth trends of the industry by analyzing the parameters affecting the dynamics of the industry.

- To understand the key leaders and laggards of the industry and do SWOT analysis at the industry levels.

- To understand the rules, regulations and laws governing the industry.

- To build a strong basket of fundamental research products and continuously develop new product launches, simultaneously able to build, maintain and analyze large and complex databases of macro and micro information:

- To encourage new product development though continuous dialogue and feed from the front end and modify existing products to suit market environment and client needs.

- To analyze data using top-down approach (international asset class level, country level and sector level) and also on a bottom up basis across multiple sectors to come up with investment ideas for the investment team and clients.

- To constantly undertake research on Competitor analysis and provide inputs to the sales teams and senior management.

- To be able to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of the companies of specific sectors and participate in team research activities:

- To analyze companies/sectors using tools like ratio analysis, time series and cross sectional analysis, so as to make a judgment regarding investment potential of the various sectors and the companies within various sectors.

- To read relevant materials from various industry bodies and participate in industry conferences to maintain the sharpness in investment analysis.

- To understand the key trends in the sector, the company and its future plan.

- To project the earnings of the company in medium and long term.

- To be able to disseminate research-based output to investors/clients helping them take investment decisions:

- To prepare an investment argument based on the findings of the analysis and help the investment team build a portfolio as per the risk/return framework of the investor.

- To contribute to various products which require team efforts like strategic investment report, morning report, morning sales note, concall, weekly report.

- To increase the visibility of the research team by contributing articles to various media reports.

- To build a strong team and focus on skill development & leadership:

- To encourage training and self-development for the team members.

- To foster leadership within the team members through internal workshop and presentations.

Support Institutional Team & PMS Team:

- Support the PMS vertical through active day to day collaboration

- Support Institutional Desk by proactively engaging with their clients
