Role / Profile:
The Associate Director - Performance Marketing will be a strategic leader responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing comprehensive performance marketing strategies across various digital platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of paid media, strong analytical capabilities, and proven leadership experience to drive significant business growth and achieve ambitious KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute overarching performance marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on traffic acquisition, lead generation, and revenue growth.
- Design, implement, and manage high-performing paid media campaigns primarily across Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube) and Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram), ensuring alignment with the overall marketing strategy and brand guidelines.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of paid media campaigns, from planning and budgeting to implementation, optimization, and post-campaign analysis, to maximize ROI and achieve predefined KPIs.
Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct rigorous analysis and reporting on campaign performance, leveraging data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for continuous optimization of campaigns, bidding strategies, audience targeting, and creative assets.
- Utilize Google Analytics and other industry-standard analytics tools to comprehensively track, measure, and analyze campaign performance, user behavior, and conversion funnels.
- Prepare and present detailed, high-impact performance reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, significant trends, and strategic opportunities.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, coach, and motivate a team of performance marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance, and growth-oriented environment.
- Provide expert guidance on performance marketing best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies to the team.
- Identify and facilitate training and development opportunities to enhance team skills, capabilities, and overall performance, promoting continuous learning.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, supporting their professional growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Creative (for ad copy and visual assets), Product (for landing page optimization and user experience), and Sales (for lead quality and conversion alignment), to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts.
- Act as a key liaison between the performance marketing team and other departments, ensuring seamless communication and integrated campaign execution.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in performance marketing, with a strong emphasis on managing and optimizing campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads platforms.
Platform Expertise: In-depth, hands-on expertise in Google Ads (including Search, Display, Shopping, and YouTube advertising) and Meta Ads (including Facebook and Instagram advertising), encompassing campaign setup, advanced optimization techniques, and comprehensive analysis.
Strategic Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of various bidding strategies (e.g., Target CPA, ROAS, Maximize Conversions), advanced audience targeting methodologies (e.g., custom audiences, lookalikes, in-market segments), and ad creative best practices that drive high engagement and conversion.
Team Management: Proven track record of successfully managing, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams of performance marketing specialists.
Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and effectively communicate complex strategies and performance insights to team members, senior management, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a highly data-driven approach to decision-making and continuous optimization. Proficient in interpreting complex data sets and translating them into actionable strategies.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments and with external partners.
