Designation: Lead - Structural Design & Review
Experience : 10-15 years
The structural design Lead will look after design/review of Analysis and Designs of structures submitted by the principal consultant to ensure their structural safety, stability, functionality, economy and compliance to the latest codal provisions and Building by Laws.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Design /Review detailed analysis and calculations to assess the structural integrity, stability, safety, economy, functionality and codal compliance.
- Undertake site inspections as and when needed.
- Engineering co-ordination with Architect, MEP Consultant, Principal structural designer, other consultants and other internal & external stake holders at various stages of the project/s like concept, schematic, detailed design and GFC stages to produce coordinated GFC drawings from time to time.
- Manage multiple projects and administer contracts with the structural consultant.
- Prepare accurate and detailed structural drawings and specifications that effectively communicate the design intent and facilitate construction.
- Identify potential risks and hazards associated with structural elements and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensure all designs meet project and local specifications.
Requirements:
- M.Tech. / M.E. (Structures) with minimum 10 years of experience with at least 3 years of experience in high rise building (Commercial, Residential, Institutional) design
- Have a solutions-orientated attitude with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Have relevant experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and other relevant structural engineering software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical modelling skills.
- Stay updated with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to structural engineering
- Be a confident communicator, both in written and verbal form
