Key Responsibilities Financial Model Development & Validation: - Develop, build, and/or validate intricate project financial models to rigorously evaluate various project investment scenarios. - Construct models encompassing project cash flow modeling, debt capacity modeling, and specialized tax equity modeling pertinent to US power and infrastructure projects. - Assist in structuring models in discussions with onshore bankers, demonstrating a suggestive approach, and executing with high quality to ensure client satisfaction. Deal Material Preparation: - Prepare comprehensive deal-related memos, including credit approval memos and investment memorandums. - Ensure all prepared materials are accurate, well-supported by underlying assumptions, and clearly present outcomes. Client Engagement & Communication: - Begin to demonstrate strength in client/requester relationship building and management. - Contribute to assessing information and knowledge needs to deliver targeted support. Required Background - Education: MBA, CFA, or CA qualification is mandatory. - Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience specifically in Power (including Renewable Energy like Solar and Wind) or Infrastructure projects within an investment banking division of a bank, boutique firm, KPO, consultancy, or advisory firm. - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and statistical skills to effectively assess and understand complex project investment structures, government regulations/policies, and industry dynamics for model preparation and assumption development. - Work Ethic: A self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively. - Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential. Technical Proficiency: - MS Excel: Excellent proficiency is required for complex financial modeling; ability to create macros would be an added advantage. - MS PowerPoint & Word: Proficiency in these applications for preparing professional client materials.
