About the Role Acuity Knowledge Partners is looking for a dedicated and meticulous Senior Associate to join our Fund Operations team. This role involves directly supporting a senior professional within the capital processing team of a leading Private Equity (PE) fund. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of capital activity, including contributions and distributions, and ensuring the correct posting of receipts related to capital calls. This position plays a crucial role in supporting investment accounting teams and ensuring all capital transactions comply with company policies and investor agreements. Key Responsibilities System Setup & Monitoring: - Facilitate and monitor the setup of legal entities, bank accounts, and deals in relevant systems (e.g., Yardi). Capital Activity Processing: - Process all capital activities, including investor contributions, capital calls, and distributions, ensuring strict adherence to company policies and investor agreements. - Receive and accurately post receipts related to capital calls, contributions, and distributions within the Investment Accounting module in Yardi. - Record manual journal entries where applicable, particularly to property-level assets. Account Maintenance & Reconciliation: - Maintain partners' capital accounts and assist in processing investor transfers as needed. - Track all investor capital calls and distributions to ensure timely notification and accurate record-keeping. - Prepare capital call and distribution notices for investors, ensuring all communications are clear, compliant with agreements, and dispatched promptly. - Monitor daily cash balances and identify incoming payments related to capital calls, recording receipts upon arrival. - Reconcile the Capital Account Statement with monthly notices, identifying and flagging any discrepancies or breaks. - Assist in the reconciliation of transactions, identifying and flagging breaks for resolution. Reporting Support: - Support the preparation of fund performance analysis for management reporting. Required Skills - Experience: 3-4 years of Accounting experience, preferably working with fund structures and possessing hands-on experience in the recording of capital transactions. Technical Proficiency: - Solid knowledge of the Yardi Investment Accounting module is essential. Work Ethic & Problem-Solving: - Ability to independently manage tasks, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet deadlines. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an ability to identify and solve practical problems, continuously seeking ways to improve processes. Communication: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial data and trends. Analytical Acumen: - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex organizational structures. Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance is required
