The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director, HR Business Partner to join our team in Bangalore. This pivotal role will serve as a key HR leader, partnering closely with business leaders across India and select APAC markets to drive people strategies, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure the effective delivery of HR programs aligned with business objectives. Experience: 10 - 11 years Location: Bangalore Role & Responsibilities: As the Director, HR Business Partner, you will be a critical advisor and executor of HR strategies. Your responsibilities will include: - Serve as a trusted HR advisor and strategic partner to assigned business units and leadership teams across India and key APAC markets, understanding their business goals and translating them into actionable HR strategies. - Drive and implement comprehensive talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, talent acquisition strategies, performance management cycles, succession planning, and employee development programs. - Support organizational design initiatives, change management efforts, and team effectiveness interventions to enhance business performance and adaptability. - Proactively manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and coaching to managers and employees in line with company policies and local labor laws. - Partner with the Compensation & Benefits team to ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures, participate in annual review cycles, and advise on reward strategies. - Champion and facilitate the performance management process, ensuring effective goal setting, regular feedback, and robust performance reviews. - Actively contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment, driving initiatives that enhance employee morale, retention, and overall satisfaction. - Utilize HR data and metrics to identify trends, diagnose organizational effectiveness issues, and provide data-driven recommendations to business leaders. - Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations across India and supported APAC regions. - Lead the implementation and localization of global/regional HR programs and initiatives within your assigned business units. - Potentially mentor and guide junior HR professionals or HR generalists within the region. Key Requirements & Qualifications: 10 to 11 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 5-6 years specifically in an HR Business Partner role, preferably within a fast-paced, multinational environment. Demonstrated experience supporting business units across India and at least 1-2 other APAC countries, with an understanding of regional HR nuances and labor laws. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MA in HR) is highly preferred. Proven ability to translate business strategy into HR initiatives and to influence business outcomes through HR solutions. Strong functional expertise across all HR disciplines, including talent management, organizational development, employee relations, compensation, and compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization. Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing complex issues and developing practical solutions. Experience supporting and driving change management initiatives. Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment. Desired Skills: Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors). Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, HRCI-SPHR)
