About the Organization:

A leading electric commercial vehicle manufacturer and sustainable public mobility solutions provider is undertaking a comprehensive 12-month HR transformation programme across its corporate, manufacturing plant and depot operations.

Corporate Office: Gurgaon, Haryana

Plant Location: Dharuhera, Haryana

Employee Strength: ~2,500 employees across corporate, plant, depot and project operations

Corporate Office Strength: ~50-60 employees

Role: Acting CHRO/Project Leader

Engagement: 12-Month Fixed-Term Assignment

Work Model: Hybrid

Office Requirement: 3-4 days per week from the Gurgaon office, with availability for virtual meetings on other days

Expected Engagement: ~15-20 working days per month

Role Overview:

The Acting CHRO/Project Leader will provide senior HR leadership for a 12-month transformation programme, working closely with the organization's leadership team to drive the HR function and broader people and organization transformation. The role will oversee HR transformation across corporate, plant and depot operations, providing strategic direction on HR policies, organization design, performance management, talent management, HR technology, workforce planning, governance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide overall leadership for the HR transformation programme and act as the senior HR interface with the organization's leadership team.

- Lead the HR function during the engagement and ensure alignment of HR priorities with overall business objectives.

- Own delivery across major HR transformation workstreams, ensuring effective execution and timely completion.

- Guide the design and implementation of HR policies, organization structures, performance management, talent management and workforce planning frameworks.

- Provide strategic direction on HRIS/HR technology transformation and related process improvements.

- Establish and strengthen HR governance frameworks, processes and operating mechanisms.

- Provide senior-level guidance on complex people, employee relations, compliance and organizational matters.

- Drive stakeholder alignment, decision-making and change adoption across corporate, manufacturing plants and depot operations.

- Lead workforce planning and support development of appropriate manpower structures and organizational models.

- Oversee government liaison, labour-related matters and statutory/regulatory compliance.

- Review programme progress, key milestones, risks and deliverables and ensure overall quality of execution.

- Partner with business leadership to identify organizational priorities and translate them into actionable HR initiatives.

- Ensure effective implementation and adoption of new HR processes, policies and organizational practices across the workforce.

Candidate Profile:

- 15+ years of overall HR experience, with significant experience leading an HR function and/or large-scale HR transformation programmes.

- Proven experience in HR leadership, organization design, HR transformation and change management.

- Strong exposure to multiple HR areas including HR policies, performance management, talent management, workforce planning, HRIS and HR governance.

- Experience managing HR across manufacturing, industrial, automotive, infrastructure or distributed-workforce environments will be preferred.

- Experience dealing with government authorities, labour compliance and statutory matters is desirable.

- Strong experience partnering with CXO/business leadership teams and managing senior stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to lead transformation initiatives from strategy and design through implementation and adoption.

- Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to provide hands-on guidance on operational and organizational matters.

- Comfortable working in a hybrid, project-based and fixed-term leadership environment.

Education:

- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
