ROLE TITLE:

Assistant / Deputy Manager - Procurement

ROLE PURPOSE:

The purpose of this role is to lead, drive, and optimize the regional procurement and strategic sourcing framework across Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh. The incumbent will focus heavily on robust vendor ecosystem management, contract staff onboarding, and fast-tracked manpower provisioning for vital field-level operations. By enforcing strict due diligence, establishing standardized validation mechanics, executing high-yield contract negotiations, and maintaining reliable turnaround timelines, this position directly ensures resource readiness to fuel high-impact organizational acquisitions, service quality, and regional business growth.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee end-to-end vendor management, including the comprehensive evaluation, ranking, and strategic recommendation of vendors based on cost efficiency, quality metrics, and strict delivery timelines.

- Engage deeply with third-party vendors and partners to manage manpower frameworks, onboarding pipelines, and localized field resource planning.

- Procure critical manpower and contract workforces for specialized field operations, ensuring strict compliance with operational timelines and deployment targets.

- Develop, deploy, and continuously implement standardized internal processes and scorecards for routine vendor evaluations.

- Prepare, structure, and issue detailed RFPs/RFQs, invite market-competitive quotes, and execute thorough due diligence along with background checks on all partner entities.

- Negotiate high-value commercial contracts, manage pricing grids, mitigate vendor risks, and ensure the seamless, timely delivery of equipment and services.

- Regularly review active vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs) to drive continuous capability improvements and operational efficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education: Graduate / Postgraduate degree in any discipline (Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or closely related domains is highly preferred).

- Experience: 3+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing operations.

- Industry Background: Prior background or core experience within the Telecom, Internet Service Provider (ISP), or high-velocity Infrastructure industries is highly preferred.

- Domain Expertise: Proven tracking record in managing large-scale contract workforces, manpower staffing agencies, and intricate vendor relationships across sectors such as telecom, manufacturing, and logistics.

- Core Competencies: Proven negotiation skills with the ability to build and drive cost-effective procurement strategies, deep comprehension of SLA/contract design, precise RFP/RFQ handling, and the capability to meet aggressive timelines under pressure.
