Job description


Role Overview:


ACME Group is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Financial Analyst with 4-8 years of relevant experience and a Chartered Accountant qualification to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting and accounting, with thorough knowledge of IND AS and IFRS standards, and will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of our renewable energy projects and operations.


Key Responsibilities:


- Conduct detailed financial statement reviews by analyzing the relationships between supporting documentation and financial statements prepared under IND AS and IFRS.


- Prepare and consolidate financial statements for the Indian entity in compliance with IND AS and IGAAP, ensuring adherence to regulatory and sector-specific requirements.


- Perform financial analyses including variance and profitability analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making within the renewable energy business.


- Lead variance analysis for income statements and provide comprehensive commentary for Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-End Closures (MEC, QEC, YEC) to the regional controllership team.

Facilitate audit processes by providing all necessary documentation for Statutory, SOX, and Internal Audits.


- Collaborate with the General Ledger team to identify and map GL accounts with Head Office accounts to ensure seamless consolidation.


- Assist in preparing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), aligning financial objectives with strategic goals in the renewable energy space.


- Review and assess transition and transformation contracts related to renewable projects, providing feedback on impairment assessments to regional teams.


- Support Quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.


Candidate Profile:


- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.


- 4-8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, and analysis, preferably within the energy or infrastructure sector.


- Strong knowledge of IND AS, IFRS, and IGAAP accounting standards.


- Experience in preparing financial statements, consolidation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.


- Proven ability in variance analysis, profitability analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.


- Familiarity with audit processes including Statutory, SOX, and Internal Audits.


- Sound understanding of General Ledger accounting and account mapping.


- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with ability to provide detailed financial commentary.


- Experience in Annual Operating Plan preparation and contract impairment assessments is preferred.


- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to collaborate effectively across teams.
