Role Purpose
The Global Product Manager will drive ACG Worldwide' s efforts in identifying, evaluating, and building breakthrough technologies that align with the company's strategic priorities. The role spans technology scouting, startup investments, and product development, with the objective of creating future growth opportunities and strengthening existing businesses.
This role involves deciding whether to build technologies in-house or partner/invest in startups that could lead to future acquisitions. It also includes working across internal R&D and external ecosystems to deliver innovative products and business models.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Scouting & Investments:
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies and startups for strategic partnerships, investment, or acquisition.
- Conduct due diligence, including market research, financial and competitive analysis, and fit with ACG's portfolio.
- Assess startups and new technologies for potential to enhance or complement ACG's existing businesses (e.g., supplement manufacturing, packaging, pharma).
Product Strategy & Development:
- For in-house technologies, conceptualize products, define roadmaps, and collaborate with R&D and product development teams.
- Develop end-to-end business cases, including market gap analysis, positioning, and commercial potential.
- Identify and onboard partners as required for product development and commercialization.
Project Leadership:
- Create structured project plans with defined KPIs, deliverables, and timelines.
- Track progress, report status, and present recommendations to the Managing Director and board.
- Ensure seamless execution of approved projects, whether internally built or externally acquired.
- M&A and Integration Support
- Act as the liaison between ACG and acquired companies, ensuring smooth integration of technology, teams, and processes.
- Provide ongoing support to acquired startups to accelerate success and maximize synergies with ACG.
- Travel as required for evaluation, negotiation, and integration of acquisition targets.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Completion of project milestones as per defined timelines.
- Quality and rigor of market/competitive analysis.
- Successful delivery of product roadmaps and business cases.
- Number and impact of startups/technologies evaluated, recommended, and integrated.
- Effectiveness in supporting acquisitions and partnerships.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills (market analysis, competitive intelligence, business modelling).
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and innovation frameworks.
- Knowledge of investment evaluation, due diligence, and startup ecosystems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate across R&D, business development, and external partners.
- Willingness to travel globally for scouting, evaluation, and integration.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in product management, corporate strategy, VC/PE, or technology scouting within pharma, biotech, healthcare, or related industries.
- Experience in end-to-end product development and/or startup investments highly desirable.
Growth Path
This role is positioned as a strategic leadership track, with potential to evolve into senior roles such as Head of Strategy, Head of Innovation, or Business Unit Leader.
