Job Title: Vice President - Data

Location: Hybrid - Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Mumbai/Pune

About The Job:

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary leader to join our executive team as the Vice President - Data. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the organizations data strategy, driving actionable insights, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across all levels of the business. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and proven leadership capabilities.

What You Do:

- Strategic Leadership : Define and execute the enterprise-wide data analytics strategy aligned with business goals and innovation priorities.


- Team Development : Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance analytics team including data scientists, analysts, and BI developers.

- Data-Driven Transformation : Drive the organization's transition to a data-first culture by embedding analytics into key decision-making processes.

- Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate closely with senior leaders, product owners, and operations teams to identify analytical needs and deliver high-impact solutions.

- Advanced Analytics and Innovation : Oversee the design and deployment of machine learning models, predictive analytics, and data visualization frameworks that generate business insights.


- Governance and Data Quality : Partner with Data Engineering and IT to ensure the availability,

accuracy, and integrity of enterprise data assets.

- Analytics Enablement : Champion self-service analytics and democratization of data through tools, training, and platforms.

- Industry Intelligence : Stay on the forefront of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data science, artificial intelligence, and data governance.

Who You Are:

Education & Experience:

- Bachelors or masters degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field

- Minimum 15 -20 years of experience in data analytics or data science, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role driving enterprise-level analytics initiatives.

- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, and familiarity with big data platforms

- Expertise in machine learning, AI, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.

- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams, managing complex projects, and influencing C-suite executives.

- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear business value.

- Experience with modern BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.

Soft Skills:

- Commitment to learn and deliver.

- Good communication skills (Written and Oral).

- Willingness to learn, train, and mentor subordinates.

- English Language proficiency is required to effectively communicate in a professional environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset bring fresh ideas to the table.

- Should demonstrate confidence and self-assurance in their skills and expertise, enabling them to contribute to team success and engage with colleagues and clients in a positive, assured manner.

- Should be accountable and responsible for deliverables and outcomes.

- Should demonstrate ownership of tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality results.

- Demonstrates strong collaboration skills by working effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing insights, and contributing to shared goals and solutions.

- Continuously explore emerging trends, technologies, and industry best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
