Job Description
1. Bookkeeping and Financial Management:
- Maintain comprehensive and precise financial records using industry-leading accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Netsuite to ensure transparency and accuracy.
2. Financial Statement Preparation & Review:
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying trends or anomalies that require attention.
- Work closely with clients and cross-functional internal teams to address and rectify any discrepancies or unusual entries found in the financial statements.
- Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to assist clients in making informed business decisions.
3. Tax Returns Processing:
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for a variety of entities, including corporations, partnerships, and individuals, ensuring full compliance with IRS and state tax regulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience: A solid background with 3 to 10 years of progressive experience in US accounting and direct tax services, preferably in an outsourcing or consultancy environment.
Expertise: In-depth understanding of US tax provisions, especially ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes), tax compliance, and reporting requirements.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks Online/Desktop (QBO/QBD), Xero, Netsuite, Drake, Lacerte, Ultratax, Proseries, CCH Axcess,
Bill.com, Jetpack, and Gusto, enabling efficient management of financial data and tax processes.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial records, tax filings, and compliance documentation.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and tax authorities, and to clearly explain complex financial information.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions in dynamic and deadline-driven environments.
Adaptability: Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and tax law changes through continuous learning.
