Job Summary :

Responsible for managing all aspects of capital expenditure (Capex) related accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of capital invoices, adherence to financial policies, and alignment with internal controls. This role plays a key part in supporting capital project execution, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policy and statutory requirements.


Key Responsibilities :

- Oversee end-to-end Capex accounts payable operations, including invoice validation, approval workflows, and payment processing for capital projects.

- Ensure all Capex payments align with company SOP/Policies, budget allocations, and internal

controls.

- Review and approve high-value capital expenditure invoices in coordination with procurement and project management teams.

- Maintain strong coordination with project managers, procurement, treasury, and asset

accounting teams to ensure seamless Capex processing and reporting.

- Monitor Capex spending trends and assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting.


- Manage vendor queries and disputes relating to Capex invoices in a timely and professional manner.

- Lead audits and ensure SOX compliance and documentation for Capex-related AP processes.

- Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency in Capex AP systems and workflows (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).

- Supervise and mentor a team of AP analysts and associates dedicated to Capex processing.

- Ensure adherence to tax regulations, including correct GST treatment of capital purchases.

- Support capital project close-outs and proper fixed asset capitalization in collaboration with

the fixed asset accounting team.


Key Skills and Competencies :

- In-depth knowledge of capital expenditure accounting and accounts payable principles.

- Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP, fixed asset capitalization rules, and internal control

frameworks.

- Proficiency in SAP/ MS Office

- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proven leadership and team management abilities.


- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.


Qualifications :

- Qualified Chartered Accountant


- Experience in a large corporate or multinational environment is a plus.
