Company is aiming at aggressive growth in the next decade and is ramping up its Business Development Team to increase share of business amongst existing customers and to acquire more customers across the industry sectors of interest
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager with a strong background in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, cost control, taxation, audits, and SAP Business One (SAP B1). The role involves managing the entire accounting function, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting audits, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Banking.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).
- Manage costing, inventory valuation, and reconciliation in manufacturing setup.
2. SAP Business One (SAP B1) Operations
- Handle accounting modules in SAP B1 including Journal Entries, Vendor & Customer Masters, and Inventory.
- Generate and analyze financial reports from SAP B1.
- Support integration between accounts, production, and sales modules.
- Coordinate with IT and ERP team for SAP B1 improvements or troubleshooting.
3. Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Preparation and filing of statutory returns and reports.
- Coordinate with consultants and auditors for tax assessments.
4. Audit & Internal Control
- Liaise with statutory and internal auditors; provide required data and explanations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
5. Budgeting & Cost Management
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Control and monitor expenses in line with budgetary provisions.
- Support cost optimization initiatives in coordination with production and procurement teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA (Inter) / CA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 510 years of experience in accounts and finance within a manufacturing industry.
- ERP Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1) is mandatory.
- Audit Exposure: Experience in handling statutory and internal audits.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, costing, GST, TDS, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial data analysis.
