Job Summary:
The Accounts Manager / Assistant Accounts Manager will oversee and manage the end-to-end accounting and finance operations for both US and India entities. This role involves financial planning, reporting, compliance management, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial records and reports. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606/740 and Indian GAAP / Ind AS (115, 12), with hands-on experience in QuickBooks, Zoho Books, US Payroll, IN Payroll, Billing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting operations for both US and India entities. Handle AP and AR reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and monthly closing activities. Oversee asset accounting, prepaid accounting, deferred revenue, accruals, and provisions. Perform ledger reconciliations, including bank reconciliation, coordinate with banks for credit card statements, FIRC, and other banking requirements. Manage QuickBooks and Zohobooks categorizations for all transactions. Oversee intercompany accounting and consolidation reports. Ensure accurate recognition and reporting under ASC 606 / Ind AS 115 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 740 / Ind AS 12 (Income Taxes).
2. Payroll & Compensation: Administer US payroll and India payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements. Calculate bonuses, commissions, and variable pay components. Manage new employee onboarding, induction, and payroll-related setups.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, AR and AP). Generate monthly management information system (MIS) reports including revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities. Prepare business and internal reports for management review and decision-making. Handle foreign exchange gain/loss accounting. Present Month-on-Month (MoM) revenue and expense reports and variance analysis.
4. Compliance & Taxation: Ensure timely payments and filings of TDS, GST, Advance Tax, FLA, Income Tax, and Tax Audit in India. Handle W-9 and 1099 filings and ensure US tax compliance. Support statutory audits, tax audits, and liaise with auditors and consultants.
5. Billing, Customer & Agreement Management: Coordinate with the data team for billing data and updates. Manage customer agreements, billing schedules, and Statements of Work (SOWs). Oversee AR and AP agreement management and reconciliations.
6. Team Management: Lead and mentor a team handling AR, AP, and accounting functions. Ensure task accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and ongoing professional development within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience managing India & US accounting operations.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
Working knowledge of US GAAP, Ind AS, ASC 606/740, Ind AS 115/12.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across geographies.

Compliance adherence and audit outcomes.
Efficiency in closing monthly books and reporting cycles.
