Accounts & Finance Manager - Manufacturing & Trading - CA

A well-established business group operating for over 25 years in Ethiopia, Djibouti, and UAE, with:

- 4 manufacturing units around Addis Ababa

- Annual turnover: USD 10 Million

(Plastic Pipes, Transformers, Construction, Import-Export)

Experience

- 5-10 years of relevant experience in accounts, finance, taxation, and audit

- Experience working with local accounting staff and statutory authorities

- Exposure to import costing and banking finance is essential

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Control

- Supervise and review daily accounting entries posted by local staff

- Ensure accuracy of books of accounts across multiple manufacturing units

- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting discipline

Finalization & Audit

- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing

- Finalization of financial statements

- Coordination with statutory auditors and successful completion of audits

Taxation & Compliance

- Review and verify monthly and annual tax returns

- Handle matters related to tax authorities and other statutory bodies

- Ensure full compliance with local laws and regulations

Import & Costing

- Preparation and review of import documentation

- Import costing, duty calculations, and landed cost analysis

- Coordination with clearing agents, suppliers, and logistics teams

Banking & Finance

- Preparation of financial documents for bank loans and credit facilities

Liaison with banks for:

- Annual renewal of limits

- Loan approvals and financial support

- Cash flow planning and working capital management

Management Support

- MIS reporting to management

- Financial analysis for expansion and new business initiatives

- Act as the key finance backbone for the group

Key Skills Required

- Strong command over accounting, taxation, and auditing

- Ability to manage multi-location operations

- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and process-driven

- Good coordination skills with auditors, banks, and authorities.
