Position: Accountant MIS

Department: Finance

Location: Naidupeta - Andhra Pradesh

Reports to: CFO

Qualification: ICWA or CA

Experience: Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing plant in commercial and accounting functions

About the Role:

The Accountant MIS is responsible for preparing management information reports, analysing risk factors in statutory and internal audit compliance, and monitoring working capital across all container glass manufacturing units.

The role serves as a critical link between the head office and plant-level commercial teams, ensuring the top management has timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial and operational data for informed decision-making.

The incumbent will also coordinate internal audit programmes and prepare regulatory financial reports for external bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. MIS Preparation & Reporting:

- Coordinate with all manufacturing units to ensure timely data collection for MIS preparation.

- Verify accuracy of data and analyse information to produce a monthly synopsis of operations for management.

- Prepare the monthly Flash Report to analyse control aspects and budget variance.

- Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive MIS on a monthly and quarterly basis to top management.

2. Risk Analysis & Statutory Compliance:

- Analyse and generate reports on risk factors in statutory compliance across all container manufacturing units.

- Review and report on compliance gaps identified through internal and statutory audits every quarter.

3. Internal Audit Coordination:

- Frame audit programmes and coordinate with internal auditors to conduct quarterly audits.

- Analyse and comment on internal audit reports and evaluate auditor findings for risk-based analysis.

- Monitor, resolve, and follow up on audit observations through Action Taken Reports (ATR).

- Facilitate corrective steps by the units to achieve their targets based on audit findings.

4. Financial Analysis & Working Capital Management:

- Review and analyse current asset reports on a monthly and quarterly basis to ensure regular updates to top management.

- Analyse current asset trends and report to maintain optimal working capital levels.

- Analyse quarterly performance reviews across all plants to facilitate discussions between top management and unit heads on performance and action areas.

5. Regulatory & External Reporting:

- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for industry surveys for the Centre of Indian Economy, RBI, Ministry of Industry and Information, and other bodies.

6. People & Self-Development:

- Participate in the various stages of the Performance Management System to align own performance to overall organisational goals.

- Coordinate with the training function to ensure capability development in alignment with organisational requirements.

Key Interfaces:

Internal: CFO, All Unit Heads, Commercial Heads of all units.

External: RBI, Centre of Indian Economy, Ministry of Industry and Information, Internal Auditors.

Candidate Profile:

- ICWA or CA qualification (mandatory).

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant in commercial and accounting functions.

- Strong knowledge of MIS preparation, financial reporting, and accounting principles.

- Experience in internal audit coordination and statutory compliance reporting.

- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and documentation flow.

- Working knowledge of SAP is preferred.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
